Your Health Idaho | Health Insurance Resource

Hello, Boise.

This is Chris with
Boise Health and Life Insurance Agency.

Boise Health & Life Insurance Agency Broker Chris Antrim Reviews Your Health Idaho Website. This is a great resource when you are shopping for health insurance coverage. The website is constantly updated with pertinent information as well. If you are applying for a subsidy you must create an account at Your Health Idaho first then apply for the tax credit at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. Give the office a call with any questions

208-409-3382 or visit https://www.goidahoinsurance.com/idaho-health-insurance

And today we're going to talk about health insurance resources in Idaho and, of course, you have brokers and agents that you can talk to like our agency.

But a lot of people these days like to do some research on their own, I am like that. And you'd like to kind of have an idea of how things work, which is how I am.

So one of the best resources that you're going to find is Your Health Idaho
www.yourhealthidaho.org  is the state exchange that we use for health insurance now.

Oh, most people will be using, uh, your health, Idaho, and applying for a tax credit and that's just based upon your income. Okay, so and that's something that I can help guide you on.

Um, But what you do is you come in and you actually apply and set up an account at your health Idaho first.

Then if you're looking for or to see, if you qualify for a subsidy, you would set up an account with the Department of Health and Welfare, and you would apply through them Okay, So and as of today, which is say is April the eighth?

We still have through April 30th, where you can get a tax credit because of American rescue plan that President Biden had signed into effect.

So you still have time to do that. It has to be done by the end of the month. You have to have it in by the end of this month for a May 1st effective date.

Okay, Now, outside of that up here, you would come in to get coverage, okay? Individuals and families. And then this does a great job. The website does a great job of walking you through pretty much everything that you need to know.

The metal levels explain it right here The differences are basically it's your copays. Of course. Gold cost more. That's just how these plans work. They're picking up more of the cost.

Okay, so this is just right here just quick right here. And then over here on the right. Applying for a role tells you exactly what you need to apply.

Okay, Uh, just get everything together, do it right upfront, and you're gonna be getting going and getting the information back much quicker and then down here to apply it with cost savings, it tells you exactly what to do.

First Create the Your Health Idaho account. Then you would apply for coverage assistance with the
Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. You can do that online or by calling them, and then what will happen is they will review the information and they will send it to your health.

Idaho if you're going to get a subsidy and then when you run your quotes in your health, Idaho you'll shop and compare
health insurance plans. The subsidy will be applied, uh, down here if and here's a great little application flow in photograph down here.

If it's outside of open enrollment, you would come over here at a special enrollment page to see if you possibly have what's called a qualifying life event.

Okay, now, if you already have coverage and you have a qualifying life event, you should report that if you have a change in income because that you can, you don't want to end up at the end of the year with a big tax bill But down here you see the qualifying life events, birth and adoption, loss of coverage, marriage, and divorce, moving American, Indian, Alaska native and special circumstances.

So anyway, folks, always you can always call us. I'll walk you through it, and I'll hold your hand through this process to make sure you get taken care of.

But this is here for you, and I'll leave a link to their website in the blog post, call with any questions and have a great day.

Dental work remains expensive even with insurance because coverage benchmarks haven’t kept up with rising costs. Your insurance probably caps annual benefits , limiting what it’ll pay. Plus, it may only partially cover treatments, leaving you with hefty out-of-pocket expenses. Dentists face their own battles , from dealing with various insurance policies to ensuring high-quality care, which also drives up prices. Meanwhile, many delay necessary care due to costs, spiraling into more severe, costly treatments. Looking into strategies like negotiating prices or exploring discounts can help manage these expenses. Understanding these dynamics offers a clearer path to navigating dental costs effectively.
